    Chelsea Lauwereins is a reputable trial lawyer and family law attorney of The Harris Law Firm in Colorado. She has represented thousands of clients and gone to trial dozens of times in the past few years alone. Her experience and insight are truly impressive whenever she helps one of our clients with a family law or divorce case.

    Before joining The Harris Law Firm, Attorney Lauwereins worked as a public defender. In this role, she became highly familiar with trial preparation and procedures. She has worked on numerous complex cases, including extradition hearings.

    Chelsea is known for her passionate approach to teaching her clients about the legal system, so they can navigate it more confidently. This drive to help people in need is what pointed her toward a legal career in the first place. While on the path to being an attorney, she interned for Justice Melissa Hart of the Colorado Supreme Court during the first summer of law school (1L). She attended UC Santa Barbara for a B.S. in Environmental Studies before completing her J.D. at the University of Colorado Law School.

    During her free time, Chelsea loves to garden; specifically, she takes great pride in seeing the food she grows go from soil to plate, feeding herself, her fiancé, and sometimes even their chickens and dogs. She is a big fan of learning about other cultures through cooking. In the past, she has worked with animal shelters to help match pets with their forever homes.
