    Chelsea Jordon is an attorney at The Harris Law Firm whose practice includes family, criminal, and education law, with a particular passion for supporting children and families during difficult transitions. Before entering the legal field, Chelsea spent a decade as an educator, including eight years in special education classrooms, where she regularly advocated for students whose rights and needs were often overlooked. That experience shaped her commitment to standing up for others and continues to guide how she serves clients today.

    Chelsea’s decision to become an attorney was also influenced by her own personal experience navigating the family court system. Having handled protection orders, custody matters, and other complex legal issues firsthand, she understands how her clients today are feeling and what sort of legal counsel they will most appreciate. Those experiences inspired her to become the kind of lawyer who pairs strong advocacy with genuine compassion.

    Chelsea earned her Juris Doctor from Mitchell Hamline School of Law, where she received the CALI Award in Education Law in recognition of her academic excellence in the subject. She also holds a Master of Education in Special Education from Arkansas Tech University and a Bachelor of Science in Education in Early Childhood Education, graduating magna cum laude. She is admitted to practice in Colorado state courts, the Colorado District Court, and the federal bar.

    Her professional strengths include clear communication, thoughtful writing and drafting, and the ability to remain calm and steady in high-stress situations. Chelsea is particularly skilled at breaking down complex legal concepts so clients feel informed and confident in their decisions. With her background in education, she is comfortable working with individuals of all ages and abilities and is especially attuned to cases that involve school-related or child-centered concerns. She balances empathy and approachability with the confidence to set firm boundaries when needed.

    Outside the office, Chelsea enjoys camping, reading, and spending time with her husband, three children, and their two Golden Retrievers. She and her family settled in Colorado to enjoy the mountains and the outdoors they love.
