A Denver native, Ursula brings a background shaped by both litigation experience and hands-on advocacy for children and families. Early in her career, she worked with the Denver District Attorney’s Juvenile Diversion Program, assisting non-violent youth offenders through programs focused on accountability, mental health support, and long-term stability. That experience continues to inform her measured and attentive approach to client service.
Ursula earned her Juris Doctor from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law, where she gained courtroom experience as a student practitioner with the Orleans Parish District Attorney’s Office. She also interned with the Rocky Mountain Victim Law Center, advocating for survivors of domestic violence and other crimes, and served as a judicial intern to the Honorable Richard Caschette, supporting a range of domestic, civil, and criminal matters. She holds a Bachelor of Arts & Science in History, with a minor in Political Science, from the University of Colorado Boulder.
Before joining The Harris Law Firm, Ursula practiced civil litigation with a focus on insurance defense and developed experience in special education law, helping families navigating administrative and legal processes secure appropriate services for students with disabilities. Her background across multiple practice areas allows her to quickly assess complex situations and guide clients toward appropriate legal solutions.
Ursula is known for her clear communication, steady demeanor, and ability to make complex legal issues more accessible. She understands that many people reaching out to a law firm are doing so during stressful or uncertain moments. Her focus is on listening carefully, providing straightforward guidance, and helping clients take the next step with a clear understanding of their options.
Outside the courtroom, Ursula enjoys spending time with family and friends, cooking, and playing with her dogs.
